By day I am a high school counselor and by night I am a mother to four. Currently, I am dabbling in the world of k12 which is a far cry from teaching at the college level. However, I love the student body and the age group of these youth. It is a time of challenges, resistance and opportunity to create and assist in their development as productive citizenry.
Being an academic coordinator and program developer at the college level has strengthened by belief that to make changes in the k12 system, change and direction come from the top. As an educator I look forward to being part of this process.
